Call to Action!

The following question was posed to me:  "Why should I volunteer to walk in parades, staff the booth at the Woodbury County Fair, serve on various committees, door knock, make phone calls, sell tickets for the annual Pancake Breakfast, and so on?"

In formulating a response, I realized that one could list a plethora of reasons as to why one should agree to do any of those things.  However, as always when attempting to be persuasive, my "closer" centers around a quote that I discovered several years ago and to which I can add nothing.  It is as follows:

"Join with us in the cultural battle that is warring around us.  We cannot afford to let 'someone else' fight these issues for us.  For ourselves, and for the sake of our children and generations following us, we must stand!  We must engage!  We cannot remain passive or silent any longer!"

My friends, the issues facing us today are that important.  There is much at stake.  Now is the time to commit our time, treasure, and talent to the struggle to preserve our liberties; to preserve those principles and values that we hold dear and upon which our great nation was founded.  We have seen and continue to witness the consequences of the alternative.

Please consider this plea the next time you are asked to volunteer your time or your treasure to the cause.  It is that important!  There is much at stake!
